Begun under the direction of 30 local businessmen on March 30, 1959, the Greenville Optimist Club set its mission to serve the youth of the community. currently the club gives several primary consideration for financial support to organizations including Pitt County Robotics, Optimist Little League and the N.C. Boys and Girls Club.
