Abstract:
This article features Sharon Slade a retired educator. She began her teaching career at Mattamuskeet High School in Swan Quarter, Hyde County. She taught several classes such as Family Consumer Science, Information Highway, Occupational Exploration, Foods 1 and 2, Teen Living, Parenting and Child Development, Interior Design and Biotechnology. She also fluctuated between CTE classes and managing Child Nutrition at the school's cafeteria. Even after retiring, she still does substitute teaching at Mattamuskeet Early College High School.
