Abstract:
Arthur Goffe appeared in 1723 before the North Carolina Council with a commission from the Lords Proprietors appointing him Receiver General for the North Carolina colony. He served in the NC Assembly as a representative from Bertie Precinct by 1726. He lived on his land in Bertie County or in Edenton, NC. His Will was proved in Craven County Court in 1737.
