Apple Corps is a magazine published by Mrs. Mimi Rosenblatt’s ninth grade English class at Flat Rock Junior High School, Flat Rock, NC. They publish articles about apples, folklore, and folk life in Henderson Co., NC. They published an article entitled ‘News from North State Packing House’ by Lora Heatherly. She explains how the North State Packing House in Edneyville, NC processes apples. They won a Group Literary Award during the Twenty-fifth Anniversary Awards Day program of the Tar Hill Junior Historian Association.
