Dr. R. R. Ruff, born Apr. 25, 1831 in NC, son of John Ruff and Chloe Eason. John Ruff, b. ca. 1771, d. Oct. 1855; m.1) Miss Hodges and had 6 or 7 children; m.2) in 1821 in NC to Chloe Eason, b. ca. 1797, d. 1852 and had 5 children; m.3) in Aug. 1855 to Martha Eason, d. Jan. 1856.
