Abstract:
Nancy Whitehurst (d. 1865) widow of William Whitehurst, and da. Of Thomas Carson. Between 1865 and 1886 various heirs petitioned for their share of her estate. Her son W. Riley Whitehurst and his children had moved to Virginia, but were never found. The children were:
1) Elizabeth Manning (m.1) Samuel Crisp, Jr., m.2) William Peletier (Tyre) Manning;
2) Piney wife of Azeriah Coburn. They lived in Hyde Co., NC;
3) Thomas Whitehurst;
4) Eliza Whitehurst (m. Kincheon Nelson);
5) W. Riley Whitehurst;
6) Jane wife of Reading Bowers;
7) Patsy Whitehurst ;
8) Alfred Whitehurst;
