Abstract:
Funny story about a child age four, who was spending the night away from home. At bedtime she knelt on her knees to say her prayers, expecting the usual promptings. Finding that her hostess was unable to help her out, the little girl said “Please God, ‘xcuse. I can’t ‘member my prayers, and I am stayin’ with a lady that don’t know any.”
