Gideon Pettit, ca. 1764, d. about 1842/43. Gideon had a daughter Nancy, a son Jesse and a grandson named Gideon Whitehead. Another son, Naseby Pettit, b. ca. 1792, was living in Obien Co., TN in 1857. Also mentions other Revolutionary War soldiers: Dr. Jonathan Loomis, Gardner Moye, John Stephens, Capt. Simon Jones, Col. James Armstrong.
