Allen Chance, b. Pitt Co., NC, d. ca. 1851/2; md. Sarah Knight. He went to Clay Co., MO with his brother, Robert Chance, in 1833. In 1836, Allen went to Platte Co., MO. Allen had a dau. named Nancy Chance; md. John W. Todd. Allen had a son, Arnold Chance, b. Nov. 20, 1813 in Pitt Co., NC, d. Jan. 3, 1890; md. Nancy Swaney.
