This petition of Thomas Smith, of Craven County, NC, 1753 mentions that his brother, James Smith, moved his family from Virginia to NC in 1729 and bought land in Craven Co., NC from Thomas Smith. Petition also mentions William Brice, David Wharton, Thomas Butler, Mr. Dunn.
