These papers deal with trying to get a pension. Names mentioned: Mrs. Pherebee Phillips, Curtis Phillips, Joseph Phillips, Willis Lewis, Willie Downs, Rebecca Price, John Downs, William Bowers, John Bowers, Gideon Bynum, Lydia Paramore, Amos Paramore, Mrs. Cunningham, J. Williams, Abraham Hardee, Robert Williams, John Kinsaul, Benjamin Hodges, Lewis Speir, William Speir, James Speir. There is also list of deserters from Craven, Johnston, Dobbs, Martin, Beaufort and Pitt Counties in 1779. The deserters from Pitt County were Josias Hardee, Admiral Haddock, William Mills.
