Abstract:

Scott Singleton and his lab at UNC are doing research on bacterial drug resistance and antibiotics, and their work could lead to a new drug that doesn’t require high costs. They are conducting biological and genetic experiments to find inhibitors of the enzyme RecA that’s in nearly all bacteria.
