Abstract:
Following the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922, members of the research team died of a fever. Since then, people have believed the tomb is cursed. However, according to UNC microbiologist Bill Goldman, the curse may have a basis in Histoplasma, a respiratory fungal disease that rapidly grows when disturbed.
