This article is a reprint of William Lenoir's \"Memorandum Book from March 1, 1802 to March 15th, 1804,\" documenting the election in August of 1802. The author's introduction provides context to Lenoir's writing offering biographical information on Lenoir as well as information on the circumstances of this election.
