Abstract:

Ten years ago the Raleigh News and Observer named Eric McRay as \"an artist to watch.\" Since then McRay, a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art, has set up a studio in Raleigh, where he produces about a 150 paintings a year. His paintings, loaded with bursts of colors, depict state landscapes and jazz musicians. Duke University and North Carolina Central University Museum of Art are among collectors of his work.
