Abstract:
Iredell County, located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, has a population slightly over 50,000. Kiser relates some of the county's history. It is a booming agricultural section of the state with a wide diversity of crops, and it grows the most grain in the state. Dairying and cattle raising are the money crops. There are several large manufacturing centers including Mooresville, Statesville, and Troutman.
