Abstract:
What do alternative, heavy metal, country, and indie music have in common? In North Carolina, they have the Alltel Pavilion at Walnut Creek, southeast of Raleigh. The Pavilion, formerly the Hardee's Walnut Creek Amphitheatre, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. This music venue, which can accommodate 20,000 fans and has drawn nearly four million customers since its opening, has dramatically altered the music scene in eastern North Carolina.
