Abstract:

The NC Coastal Federation is asking interested people to help the 25-year-old nonprofit \"turn the tide\" toward balanced coastal preservation and restoration by increasing staff resources to tackle the looming questions on the horizon to ensure a balanced solution for the future of our beaches, sounds and inland rivers. The Friends of the Coast campaign is seeking $3 million to abate \"coastal pollution and degradation\" and to create an endowment and reserve funds to assure continuing revenues.
