Abstract:

The sharp spires of Belmont Abbey cathedral near Belmont, North Carolina from the nucleus of a colony that is apart from the surrounding countryside. An energetic and gallant band of Benedictine monks are keeping alive the 1,400 year old doctrines of America's oldest abbey.
