Abstract:
Edwin Forbis Glenn was a famous General born near Greensboro in 1857. Some of Glenn's more notable accomplishments include leading explorations in Alaska and the Philippines, guarding the Mexican border during WWI, and establishing an arms training facility in France where he was made a Commander of the Legion of Honor. Glendon, North Carolina was named after the General.
