Abstract:
Built at a cost of $23,273,000 and equipped with 4.8 million watts of broadcasting capabilities, the Voice of America's newest station, located in Greenville, North Carolina, is the world's most powerful long range radio station. Replacing four obsolete stations in New York and New Jersey and staffed by a minimum of 100 individuals, the new station will be able to send radio signals to Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and South America.
