Abstract:
To help offset the Great Depression, the Federal Government pumped funds into North Carolina for courthouse building and renovation. Williams discusses the current construction boom in which half of the state's one hundred counties are building new courthouses, county office buildings, jails, adding more space or improving existing structures.
