In North Carolina appellate and superior court judges may be removed from office by impeachment or, if the cause be mental or physical incapacity, by joint resolution of two-thirds of all member of the General Assembly.

Currently, North Carolina has no laws that deal specifically with an increasingly important area of medical practice and potential professional liability--the collection, storage, and distribution of human blood and the administration of blood transfusions. This article discusses the legal implications of the matter and some proposed solutions.
