This 1843 letter from Peter English of Randolph Co., Indiana to Moses Tyson of Pitt County discusses crops in Indiana, hard times in Pitt County, abolition in Indiana, and the murder committed in Pitt County by a man named Bedford. He mentions Hosea Knox, Rachel Anderson, Joshua Turner, Jesse Waller, Canada [Kennedy?] Briley, Elizabeth English, Charlotty Tyson, Clema Tyson, and Benjamin Mintis [Mintz?].
