Washington Progress, Apr. 10, 1902…..Ness. S. R. Fowle & Son are building two two-story brick buildings and a bank building for the first National Bank; M. T. Archbell, one brick store and modern hotel; a large brick building on the Hoyt lot on Main Street; N. S. Fulford, a large two-story brick warehouse; the Susmans, five one-story brick stores on the Moules property on Market Street; Mrs. W. E. Scoville, a neat two-story dwelling on Respass street between Second and Third streets; and several other buildings are going up.
