Mike and Theresa Lowe began operating their business, Mike's Farm in 1986. Over the years, he Onslow County couple has succeeded in transforming a family tobacco farm near Richlands, N.C. into a regional Christmas and holiday destination. To accommodate their many seasonal promotions, the couple recently opened the North Carolina Production Barn in 2019, showcasing handmade goods from all the state's 100 counties.

Seagrove, N.C. is the home of dozens of potters. Notable are Sid Luck, a fifth generation potter and Bobbie Thomas, known for her peices built by hand instead of turned on a wheel. Linda Thorne operates Seagrove Orchids. Jugtown Pottery and the NC Pottery Center are also principal destinations within the Seagrove community encompassing potions of Randolph and Moore Counties.

Originally a faculty member with ECU School of Music, Glenn was drawn into the business of artificial flower design through his wife Jef's operation of her family's local floral business. Glenn's latest invention is his Enduraleaf line, artificial shrubs and trees designed for outdoor use.
