Abstract:
Darryl Howard, a North Carolina native, was wrongfully charged with a double homicide involving victims Dorris Washington and her daughter Nishonda Washington. After spending nearly 23 years in prison, he was released due to newfound DNA evidence. Although awarded 6 million dollars by a federal jury, Durham City Council declined to provide the payout to Mr. Howard and his family.

Abstract:
Durham residents and happily married couple Austin and Sarah McCombies, have announced a new album that is to be self-released. The name of the album is called "If you see me riding by" and is described as a collection of artful southern sounds. The album will be released on June 3, 2022, along with a live performance located at the Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw, North Carolina.
