2012 is the 75th anniversary of the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program. It began in 1937, and is the single most successful conservation effort in the history of the United States in enhancing and restoring wildlife and fish populations nationwide. Bloodgood explains how the program works and two important federal laws--the Pittman-Robertson and the Dingell-Johnson.

Abstract:
The National Wildlife Federation has expressed its support for the Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Act Amendment, which would provide additional funds to state wildlife agencies for wildlife restoration, hunter education, and public target range development. The bill would expand excise-tax to include various component parts of firearms’ ammunition.
