Abstract:

No need to go the end of the rainbow in search of that elusive pot of gold. According to the natives of the Chimney Rock area, who relate the more than two century-old story with all sincerity, the proverbial pot of gold lies mysteriously hidden on Round Top, the mountain which lies opposite Chimney Rock and forms one side of Hickory Nut Gap. The ancient legend is said to based on actual facts.
