Abstract:
First Colony Farms is a large operation spread over parts of Washington, Tyhrell, Hyde and Dare counties. The farm is being developed with the cooperation of North Carolina State University, and will include setting aside large wilderness areas, a forest preserve, a game management area, and experimental farm land. The farm operation is expected to become one of Eastern North Carolina’s largest employers.
