Abstract:
Yates presents information supporting his claim that Calvin F. Christopher is the state's most prolific inventors. Christopher lives near Canton, in Haywood County. His most outstanding invention is the cylinder computing-type scale manufactured by Dayton, Simpson, Toledo, Standard and other companies. Among his other patented inventions are a stock tether; ditch-digging machine; compressed brick machine; automatic railway switch; and a monkey wrench that does not have to be screwed to fit the object.
