Abstract:
Raleigh's former Latta University flourished during the period 1892-1930. Rev. Morgan London Latta, who was born into slavery, was founder. The last vestige of the campus was destroyed by fire in 2007. Rev. Latta published his 370 page autobiography in 1903.
