"Among dazzling lanterns, silk creatures, and twinkling lights, one little boy leads his parents straight to the heart of the." The North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival runs from mid-November to mid-January. It is currently (2025) in its 10th year. Artisans for the displays take many month to plan and build. Chinese lantern making is an art form more than 2,000 years old. The festival is located in Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary.
