A group of bankers representing the North Carolina Bankers Association (NCBA) recently participated in a naval aircraft embarkment off the coast of Cape Lookout. Abstract:
Thousands of men and women from North Carolina have served in the Navy throughout the past eight wars. Some of the more notable figures, Luther Hodges, William A. Graham, Kenneth C. Royal, Josephus Daniels, John Branch, and George Edmund Badger, held cabinet positions, serving as either Secretary of the Navy or Secretary of War. Due to their dedication and ability to augment the power of the United States Navy, two ships, the USS Josephus Daniels as well as the USS North Carolina, commemorate the services of North Carolinians in the Navy. \r\n
