A. C. Robinson, Jr., is the new president of the North Carolina League of Municipalities for 2001-2002. Robinson, a long-time educator, pastor, and civic organization member, has been a member of the Elizabeth City Council since 1984. He discusses what he hopes to accomplish during his tenure.

Abstract:
Ferd L. Harrison, who was mayor of Scotland Neck for thirty-eight years and who served as president of the North Carolina League of Municipalities in 1970, died June 27, 2013. He was the first League president from a municipality with a population of less than 25,000.

Abstract:
Latimer B. Alexander, IV, High Point mayor pro tem, was sworn in as the new North Carolina League of Municipalities' Board of Director's President for 2011-2012 at the League's annual conference last October. A native of Statesville, Alexander and his wife have lived in High Point since 1980. A small business owner in the furniture industry, he sold controlling interest in 2006 to one of his largest business suppliers. He still works for the company which does business as Latimer Alexander LLC.
