The North Carolina Department of Agriculture administers service and regulatory programs for farmers, as well as a variety of other consumer products. The Department’s broad inspection powers, laws and regulations are meant to protect consumers, and to ensure safe and quality products. Inspections include all items of food or drink for man or animals, as well as gasoline and oil.
