Cheerwine, the burgundy-red, cherry-flavored soda has been widely available since the 1980s. The one-hundredth birthday of Cheerwine will be celebrated on May 20 at the Cheerwine Centennial Celebration in Salisbury, North Carolina, where the soda beverage began.
