In May 2017, the Blount-Bridgers Garden Committee opened its sixth annual Spring Garden Symposium. The Blount-Bridgers Historic Garden, a non-profit organization that host's many of Tarboro's public events, including the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Octoberfest Beer, Brats and Blues, and the esteemed Hobson Pittman Gala.

Currently, Edgecombe County is home to three museums: Edgecombe County Veterans Military Museum, The Blount-Bridgers House and Hobson Pittman Memorial Gallery and the Princeville Museum and Welcome Center. With exception to the Princeville Museum, which is still recovering from losses sustained during Hurricane Mathew in 2016, the museums maintain regular hours of operation.
