Abstract:
Howe writes about the life and work of Aaron Belz, a poet whose works have been praised by the likes of John Ashbery and poetry critic Marjorie Perloff. He is called a public misanthrope and a seeker of privacy. He lives in a small Hillsborough apartment and operates an even smaller bike shop and teaches creative writing at Durham Tech. Along the way he earned an MA in creative writing at NYU and a PhD in English from St. Louis University.
