North Carolina native, Lieutenant General Frank A. Armstrong, Jr. is the commander-in-chief of all military personnel in Alaska. With the assistance of over 70,000 individuals under his command, Armstrong is tasked with defending the 586,500 square miles comprising the 49th state.
