Abstract:

Environmental violations by Caldwell Systems, Inc., operators of a Caldwell County hazardous waste incinerator that pumped toxins into the air between 1976 and 1988, have resulted in lawsuits against it as well as health problems for residents.

Abstract:

Although black and white Southern Baptists share the same beliefs, they tend to worship separately. In Chapel Hill, University Baptist Church and First Baptist Church are holding occasional biracial services to try to bridge the gap.
