Juvencio Rocha-Peralta is the Executive Director of the Association of Mexicans in North Carolina whose headquarters are located in Greenville. Rocha-Peralta is concerned about the future of the community of Mexicans in North Carolina, the future of their children, and the future outcome of heightened fears of deportation since President Donald Trump’s inauguration. Roach-Peralta discusses his history, his groups mission, and the work still to be done.

The Jones family serve barbecue at Skylight Inn BBQ in Ayden and Sam Jones BBQ in Winterville, North Carolina. While taking their barbecue across the country and forming network connections, the Jones came across television opportunities. This September, they will be filmed on the Travel Channel.

Gary Fenton, Greenville’s Recreation and Parks director, has big dreams for the city’s green spaces. Over the past ten years, Fenton has helped to enhance the parks and greenways. He’s currently working to develop a pedestrian bridge across the Tar River, which he believes will be an economic game changer.

Christie Hill, a local mom of Greenville finds her calling in teaching and instructing belly dancing via her business, the Absolute Studio in Arlington Village. In addition to belly dance classes, she teaches Pilates and other fitness routines.
