Abstract:

How Wilkins defined choice, chance, reward was through her experience as a mother of a child with Downs Syndrome. She has the choice to not let challenges turn into obstacles. She’d been given a chance to be the single mother of a child with special needs. She’s experienced the reward of seeing her daughter triumph as an athlete, despite medical challenges.
