J. Carlyle Sitterson was appointed the new chancellor of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to his new appointment Mr. Sitterson served the university as a faculty member for thirty years and an administer for eleven more. The North Carolina Film Board was formed in 1962 under the supervision of Governor Terry Sanford. In the first three years, the board was responsible for twenty documentary projects depicting the state's history. Despite this success, state funding was due to be renewed in 1965 and the author presents pros and cons for continuing the Film Board.
