Abstract:
This special NORTH CAROLINA magazine community profile supplement discusses Moore County. The county is home to dozens of well-known golf courses, which are clustered in the southern part of the county. Many of the towns in the middle and northern sections, like Robbins and Cameron, have seen their textile and furniture plants close. County officials are exploring ways to attract thousands of new factory jobs to bolster revenues generated by golf and tourism.
