Abstract:
Boy's State refers to an annual event where boys from across the state gather to learn how their government operates. It was established in 1937 by the North Carolina Department of the American Legion in conjunction with the Institute for Government. The 1962 meeting was held in Chapel Hill from June 17-24 and 404 boys attended.
