Abstract:
Henry DeMille achieved fame as a playwright in the latter part of the 19th-century, but their productions and popularity did not survive beyond the early years of the 20th-century. He was the father of two well-known sons--C.B. DeMille, a playwright and motion picture director and producer, and William Churchill DeMille, a playwright and writer, director, and producer of motion pictures.
