The Nell Wise Wechter Papers contains copies of the author's books, <emph render="italic" xmlns="urn:isbn:1-931666-22-9">Taffy of Torpedo Junction</emph> (1957), <emph render="italic" xmlns="urn:isbn:1-931666-22-9">Betsy Dowdy's Ride</emph> (1960), <emph render="italic" xmlns="urn:isbn:1-931666-22-9">Swamp Girl</emph> (1971), and <emph render="italic" xmlns="urn:isbn:1-931666-22-9">The Mighty Midgetts of Chicamacomico</emph> (1974). Also included are the typed and written drafts, typed manuscripts with revisions, original manuscripts, and galley proofs for her books. There is also correspondence from the Library of Congress, British Embassy, and Mariners Museum regarding Wechter's requests for information to assist her in writing her novels.
