Pitt County Census Information

Two types of census information are useful for historical research. Actual manuscript returns provide a variety of information about individuals living in a place. Aggregate census data can be used to understand socio-economic trends in states, counties, or incorporated places. This site features a database of information transcribed from the original manuscript returns for the 1900 census of Pitt County, socio-economic reports generated from the database, and aggregate census data for Pitt County extracted from census reports published in 1900 and 1910.
