Miss Hortense Forbes, eldest daugh- ter of Mr. aud Mrs. Alfied Forbes, was married Wednesday evening at 9 o’clock to Dr. Elbert A. Moye, eldest son of Su. pertor Court Clerk E. A. Moya, at the Methodist church by Rev. N. M Wat- 800, pastor, Tke church was very prettily deco— rated with palms, holly, magnolia, calla lilies and branches and wrailing vines added to the general beauty of the or- nature. The pulpit stand was removed and the pulpit was a bed ot beautiful flowers and hothouse plants. An arch encircled the front of the pulpit and Was covered with evergreen and holly on which were wax tapers. The bridal party arrived at the church and formed in the vestibule. Under the magic touch of Mrs. J° B. Cherry, on the organ, “Mendlessohn Wedding March” was beautifully ren- dered, and as the soft, sweet tones vibra- ted through the edifice, the couples en- tered the right and left aisles following order : in the Miss Fiorence Williams, ot Balti- mre, with J. M. Moye, duwn the left aisle. The ridesmaids halted at the front pew and separated to the right aud left, the pages and flower maid of honor and the bride passing girls, (through, took their positions on the pulpit under the arch. The groom and his best man on the opposite aisle passed through and wok their positions. Rev. N. M. Watson then, in a solemn and impressive manner, pronounced them husband and wife, The party then left th; church in resersed order, The ushers were Messrs. J. L. Lit- tle, J. Ly Starkey, C. M. Jones, S. T. White, Dr. R. L. Cerr and Ed Flana~ gan. The bridesmaids were dressed in white organdy, carrying pink carna- tions, the fluwer girls m white silk, with pink carnations. The veil was caught back with a spray of hiies of the valley, held in place by a diamond pin. ; From the church the bridal party was driven to the palatial residence of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Forbes, where a Maguificent reception was held. The decorations at the resilence were beautitul. The guests were received in a most hospitable manner. The bride is deservedly regarded AS one of the most lovely and accom- plished young ladies of this sec. tion.
